BIOGRAPHY

I see the world in colors, lines, patterns and shapes. Every feeling I feel or every note of music I hear there is a certain color and movement that impacts my art and my everyday life. My art helps me release emotion and present myself in a physical way that I cannot translate in my everyday life. Sometimes it feels intense, like a burst of strong feelings that need to be splattered on a sheet or pasted on a screen. I can change my art to match how I'm feeling, adjusting the photos, marks, and collages to express my mood. It’s like a diary - capturing feelings, dreams, and my influences and muses in life.

I work with a mix of digital and hands-on techniques, such as drawing, relief printmaking, painting. I use bold colors and pictures collaged on a variety of mediums. I also create self-portraits, both photographed and handmade, to explore how I see myself. Sometimes, I just scribble my thoughts in books, using whatever comes to hand and mind. I create work out of these scribbles and the natural surroundings inspire me to ultimately help my vision and artwork.

My inspiration comes from music and the beauties of nature. The outdoors and my music are my happy place. I create the best when I am sitting, listening to music, and just feeling either in my own space or the outdoors. That connection with color and reflection fuels my creativity and connection to self.

My art is all about expressing the motion of feelings, present and past relationships, and who I am. I want people to join me in exploring their own emotions through reflection, retrospection and realization of the self and its surroundings.
